GPS Gesellschaft für Produktionssysteme GmbH
was founded in 1999 by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (Fraunhofer IPA).

The goals of the company are

• to further develop and realise product ideas and system solutions from manufacturing and automation technology and robotics to create new, marketable products,
• to develop strategic measures to transfer technology and launch new products.

The activities of GPS include

• system and product development in the field service robotics
• technology transfer and marketing
• project management and controlling

GPS currently consists of the two business divisions Robotic Systems as well as Project Management and Technology Transfer
